A LA Middle Eastern Eatery

Bavel is a restaurant that will leave you with a memorable meal that you will talk about for weeks or months until your return visit. My fiancé and I have been there three times now and each one was just as delicious as ever. Plus, they have excellent cocktails too!

Their style is for the dishes to be shared, which is my favorite way to dine because then you get to try so many things! I recommend visiting Bavel with a few friends so you can try multiple dishes.

And their ambiance is very aesthetically pleasing to the eye. From the outdoor seating to the indoor seating, you cannot go wrong where you sit. Just to note that sometimes it can be a little noisy inside, but that did not stop us from enjoying our meal and conversation.

Inside

Now for the most important part, the food! The chefs are constantly preparing delicious meals for all their guest, and we sure did enjoy every bite they prepared for us.

So here is what we ordered on our third visit with a couple friends:

  • Hummus Borlotti Masabacha
  • Farm Cheese (the best spread to ever exist!)
  • Marinated Olives
  • Fattoush (it was good, but their previous salad, Heirloom Lettuce Salad, was better)
  • Hawaij Cauliflower (delicious especially the sauce that comes with it)
  • Grilled Prawns (my fiancé loves this one)
  • Wagyu Oxtail Tagine (I prefer the lamb rack but this was a nice dish)
  • Dessert:
    • Peach Cobbler
    • Strawberry Sumac & Sweet Cheese Pastry (it was like a strawberry pop tart with a side of pistachio ice cream, we all loved it!)
Spreads and olives

As for some of the other dishes, I did not take pictures because I was too in the moment enjoying the delicious food with even better company.

If you are in the LA area visiting or you live there, definitely check out Bavel. You will not be disappointed and let me know in the comments what you think of it.
